The Role of Cei Tutoring at Japans Special Education Department

The Role of Cei Tutoring at Japan's Special Education DepartmentCei tutoring, meaning 'new city school', is one of the very few schools in Japan that deals with special education for children with a disability. At Cei tutoring, children are nurtured with the special needs of their disabled peers.Reiki is the Japanese word for child. Those are in any school that caters to special needs of children with disabilities and need help from the special education department. The education system was launched in 1960 and now there are some 500 schools around the country that serve children with special needs. The name of the school is eikaiwa kotei. This means eikaiwa school for special education. It was started by Motoharu Kawahara, a retired professor from Japan's National Institute of Learning and Education in 1964. Since then it has been seen as an important stepping stone for the school to develop a unique approach towards educating children with special needs. If you are considering workin g at eikaiwa hotel or at any of the other hundreds of schools that cater to special needs of children with disabilities, you will need to be accredited by the Japanese Association of Special Schools, or JASST. To be accredited, you have to go through two years of rigorous training where you will have to take examinations and do practical work on special education. The training and examinations are not free, but you can do them without paying the fee since there is no tuition involved. As an accredited candidate, you will be able to practice your profession in a unique setting and will be able to assess the teaching capabilities of a certain teacher without ever having to spend a single day at the school.Even though you do not have to pay for the training, some institutions require you to pass certain requirements before you can even apply. Most schools will also provide you with transportation, accommodation and food allowances for your work and some will even offer your time to atte nd lectures as part of your job.You will have to gain experience at an accredited special needs school before you will be able to start working as a special needs tutor, which is actually a challenging but rewarding job. It pays well and provides many opportunities for students who would like to pursue a career in teaching.
